Understanding Trauma and Addiction

I have developed a deep understanding of how trauma affects people emotionally, mentally, and physically. I have gained insight into addiction, substance use, and related behaviours, which enhances my ability to support clients, family members, and concerned persons struggling with dependency and self-destructive behaviours.

My Background and Approach

My background in policing, like other frontline roles, has equipped me with unique skills that have supported me in etching out a new career. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, which underpins my use of evidence-based modalities, enabling me to integrate approaches such as C.B.T., Psychodynamic therapy, Humanistic techniques, and Existentialism. These methods help you navigate your journey toward clarity, resilience, and self-empowerment.

Ensuring that I offer the best support to my clients, I regularly engage in ongoing education through workshops and certifications, including:

    • How to present yourself professionally from the moment you enter the room

    • Guidance on body language, tone of voice and pacing your answers
